Summary: The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing the payroll administration.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Analysis, preparation and entry of all payroll information to produce accurate and timely payroll in a large hospitality environment
Supervise payroll administrator, and manage the payroll department and the actual processes,  to maintain efficiency/accurate payroll processing
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws on a routine basis
- Oversee preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management
- Responsible for all payroll tax compliance issues; resolves federal and state payroll tax issues promptly
- Works closely with other accounting functions to create a seamless teamwork oriented environment
- Documents payroll processes and trains support staff on payroll transactional processes
- Serves as a support resource for employees and management on a routine basis
- Perform various journal entries, account reconciliations
- Provide general accounting  support for the Accounting department. when needed
- Perform other tasks, duties and responsibilities as may be needed or directed
- Must be able to maintain progress on multiple priorities and tasks

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in  Accounting or a related field
- 5-8 years of payroll experience running payroll for 500 or more employees; hospitality experience is a plus; ADP experience is required
- Experience in general accounting and G/L maintenance required
- Ability to resolve employee login and / or other system technical issues
- Must be able to use technology-based payroll and  accounting applications efficiently and effectively
- Able to utilize time management skills to successfully meet deadlines
- Must have excellent analytical skills and be familiar with all general accounting procedures applicable to the assigned work areas
- Must be a team oriented individual willing to work with others to get the job done successfully
- Outstanding MS Office skills are required
- Ability to work well with others, strong attention to detail, team player, self-starter, proactive, well organized, ability to manage multiple tasks
