Summary:  Provides supervision for all receiving and distribution activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for properly stocking, distributing, and delivering supplies and materials as ordered by the company’s purchasing authorities.
  • Liaises closely with Finance and Purchasing on related matters; must be self sufficient electronically and be very organized.
  • Provides excellent employee and customer service through following standard practices and also creates new SOPs as needed.
  • Manages and trains receiving clerks.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Requires 3-5 years of previous experience within a warehouse or receiving area; supervisory experience is required and not optional.
  • Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must have good / excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, purchasing, requisitioning and inventory tracking systems.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Responsible for training new or existing employees on job responsibilities; documenting safety related issues and concerns; ensuring employees are appropriately trained in recognizing safety hazards; partaking in accident/incident investigations; addressing safety issues or unsafe working conditions; creating, implementing and communicating safety initiatives for the department.
  • MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK REGULARLY ON WEEKENDS AND AVAILABLE FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS, OR PLANNED SCENARIOS LIKE MONTH-END INVENTORY PROJECTS, ETC.
  • TYPICAL SCHEDULE IS DAYS - FROM 7AM-4PM
