Summary: The Player Development Manager effectively manages the day-to-day operations of the Casino’s player development programs. This role is responsible for the overall development of new players, maintenance of existing players and provision of service for all VIP level casino guests as well as the direct oversight of all Casino Host(s) personnel.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Required to manage the day-to-day operations of the player development program in order to achieve quarterly goals regarding overall growth of gaming revenue and profitability.
  • Liaises with Marketing and other functions to determine promotional programs; assist in developing and implementing player development activities for slot and racing players. Remains informed of competitive promotions.
  • Responsible for approving and monitoring the administrations of comps and other player incentive decisions based on player performance as well as for executing certain administrative duties regarding promotional transactions.
  • Utilizes familiarity of the Casino industry’s practices and procedure to bring on and maintain new premium players to the property.
  • Oversees and executes marketing to preferred players through phone, email and direct mail about services available, offers, and special events.
  • Support the overall development and accuracy of the player database.
  • Assist in developing and implementing player development activities for slot players.
  • Coordinate and host on or off-site events and promotional parties to maintain customer loyalty and to obtain new business.
  • Review and ensure that all processes are completed in compliance with internal controls.
  • Responsible for training new or existing employees on job responsibilities; documenting safety related issues and concerns; ensuring employees are appropriately trained in recognizing safety hazards; partaking in accident/incident investigations; addressing safety issues or unsafe working conditions; creating, implementing and communicating safety initiatives for the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Two years prior experience in the hospitality/customer service industry required.
  • Three years experience in the following: supervision/management, goal setting and strategy development, budget development. In addition, one year of direct guest services, in person or over the phone.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Florida gaming license.
  • Ability to resolve problems in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Requires intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
